“For me the art of simplicity is something like this . . .

“It’s a vibration that makes me:

* Live in peace

* Remain in silence

* Enjoy the wonderful silence that gives rest to the mind

* Vibrate “the best in me”

* Celebrate my existence

* Live in the present

“The art of simplicity is not a technique; it’s an experience beyond words.

“For many it’s real and it’s possible for each and every one of us.

“In a group, if a person becomes connected to this beautiful vibration of stillness and immovable peace, this frequency permeates the session and each of us has the opportunity to participate in this profound experience.

“It’s profound because it’s simple.

“It’s a spiritual experience, the value of which is living it, rather than understanding it.

“The art of simplicity is the ability all of us beings have to “unburden ourselves” from all the personal burdens and rest.

“We solve the situations of life in such a manner so that they will not get in our way.

“We can remember the past and think about the future, but it doesn’t have to rob us of our inner peace.

“Our life is a constant flow of opportunities for healing.

“The experiences of the present do not leave accumulated burdens behind. Everything is left wonderfully resolved.

“Immovable peace: That which does not depend on circumstances.

“If I step out of that center and lose my peace, nothing bad happens. I quietly begin to simplify my present moment in a peaceful, serene way and return to my state of rest.

“That’s what the art of simplicity consists of.”

"I still don't get it"--  Ha! welcome to that which cannot be expressed in simple wordings but it can be lived in simplicity. Guess you just have to try the real thing.

If the mind could grasp a mystery

then it is not a Spiritual mystery.

Juan Walks with the Master

Juan and the Master were walking down a beautiful trail with meditation in mind and deeply enjoying the silence and inner peace. Juan, however, was distracted trying to give shape to his feelings and thoughts.

“How can I bring about a higher consciousness and awaken? I must stop thinking and be silent! Why is it so difficult to reach an expanded state of awareness?”

“Juan” said the Master while looking into his eyes, “how many steps have you taken since we started our walk?”

“I don’t know. I don’t count my steps when I walk,” said Juan.

The Master smiled and said, “Yet, you’ve been walking perfectly all this time by my side. You’re right about your answer; normally we walk without thinking about it. Just as it is a bit strange counting your steps while you walk, it is trying to decipher life while you live.

“You could just as well just walk, and you could just as well just live.”

Wanting to better understand what his beloved teacher was saying, Juan expressed his concern: “But I don’t have any other way of trying; my mind seeks to understand.”

The Master realized this was a perfect opportunity and he said,

“The art of simplicity consists of being aware of your existence and feeling profoundly complete and satisfied.

“The mystery that the mind tries to decipher would not really be a spiritual mystery if the mind could decipher it.

“My dear friend, when we peacefully give up trying to understand it, then a spiritual wisdom is revealed to us, and that is where the mind learns.”
